PTIT CTF 2023: second prize at home

A year after my consolation prize in 2022, I played PTIT CTF again and got second prize this time.

The format was the same as before, our school’s own individual Jeopardy contest with web, crypto, pwn and RE. The awards were given out on October 2, 2023 in hall A2, on the same day the faculty welcomed its new students, so the hall was pretty full.

Between the two contests I practiced a lot, mostly reversing, and in the final that’s again where I spent most of my time. Going from consolation to second prize in one year was nice to see, mostly because it meant the practice was actually doing something.

A couple of months later I played my first Attack-Defense final at the ASEAN Student Contest. I wrote about that here.
